Food

Igbo cuisine consists of a variety of different vegetable soups with meats like goat, chicken, turkey, and cow. They also like to use dried fish. Their staple crop is yam.There's a New Yam Festival celebrated every year with the belief that new yam leads to a prosperous year. Chinese restaurants, hamburgers, pizza, and other fast foods can also be found in southeastern Nigeria.

Language

 

One of the four official languages in Nigeria is Igbo. It has over 24 million speakers with over 20 different dialects. Igbo is also spoken in Equatorial Guinea.

 

For writing, Igbo uses the Latin alphabet like in English. Very few adjectives are used in Igbo. They use accents to differentiate low tones and high tones when spoken.
